Justin Taylor shows his first place award.

Potlatch High Senior Justin Taylor and Freshman Mikayla Whitney took first place in Agricultural Sales at the North Idaho District competitions recently. Elizabeth Bowles won second in Extemporaneous speaking.

Mikayla chose her sales presentation on the BowTech Carbon Rose, the newest model of her bow. She worked on the project at school as well at home since school began this year. She made a brochure as well as composing a speech. She ran into a problem, however, when she needed to use her bow as a visual aid during her presentation but found she was unable to take her bow into the school. She did her presentation without her visual aid and won first place for girls.
Justin won the same award in the boys division.
The Potlatch FFA chapter, consisting of eight students, all did sales presentations and won second overall.
